Advocate Spot-On for Small Cats (up to 4kg) and Ferrets
Active ingredient: Imidacloprid (40mg) and Moxidectin (4mg).
For cats-Advocate treatment kills fleas and prevents flea infestation for 4 weeks. Advocate also treats ear mites, hookworms, gastrointestinal roundworms, and avoids heartworms. Advocate is usually given on a monthly basis and can assist with flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) care.
In ferrets – Advocate treats fleas and prevents flea infestation for 3 weeks, and is used to prevent heartworm.

Only after special consideration by the veterinarian should cats weighing less than 1 kg and ferrets weighing less than 0.8 kg be handled.
Advocate should not be used in kittens under 9 weeks of age.
APPLICATION OF ADVOCATE
In an upright position, hold the pipette, and twist to take the cap off. Reverse the cap and use it to twist the seal out of the pipette and loosen it. Spread the fur on the neck of the animal at the base of the skull until the skin is clear. To empty its contents directly onto the skin, place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the pipette tightly a number of times. The application at the base of the skull will reduce the risk of the substance being licked by the animal. Apply to undamaged skin only.
Cautions
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes or mouth.
- Wash hands thoroughly after use.
- After application do not stroke or groom animals until the application site is dry.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke during application.
- In case of accidental spillage onto skin, wash off immediately with soap and water.
